Today I did the photo shoot for my new portfolio, since the old one is now very old. About 5 years old and I am not that skinny anymore. The amazingly talented Marg Thomson came to my house and we had a ball! Plenty of costume changes and we even ended up in the bathroom, and bubbles were involved. Yes, bubbles! And lots of them :) I am so excited to see the photos and to have some current photos of myself that I actually like. And from what I have seen already, I don't just LIKE them... I LOVE them!!!
Today I emailed some of the incredible, strong, Australian women singers I know to ask them if they would be willing to have one of their tracks included on a compilation CD to be sold to raise funds for Women In Need (W.I.N.) This is one of the many ideas I have going around in my head at the moment and I really hope I can get enough of them to agree, so that it can go ahead. The amazing Devon La Salle has already agreed!!!
I am also putting together a new musical act which I am hoping to announce in the next couple of weeks, with a launch 8 weeks after that. I am very excited about this too!

I return to my teaching job, after a wonderful break, in 2 weeks and am busy planning the program for the children, which this year includes Music Technology - Sony Acid Pro. 2011 is also school production year, so I will be very busy indeed. But nothing can compare to Oct 09-Oct 10 when I was running The Emerald Greenroom (cafe,bar,restaurant). Working 7 days a week was something I plan NEVER to do EVER again. I need to make time for myself and my family.
WEll, since this is my first ever Blog, I hope I didn't do too badly. I have so much to say... but I guess I'll have to save some for the next Blog.
